A late bloomer to the field of illustration, David has approached drawing and painting, as he does with all of his endeavors, with extreme focus, and a drive to always outdo himself.

As a student at the College for Creative Studies, he took to portraiture with a focus in sci-fi/fantasy/horror illustration. His influences include illustration titans Boris Vallejo, Bernie Wrightson, and Jack Davis.

Though skilled in a multitude of media, he has a real passion for oil paint. He feels that they best facilitate control, expression, and personal satisfaction.
